Those Enigmatic Eyes Of Yours

In the early dawn, your eyes are the dew,
Scattering nascent rays, illuminating my soul,
Your eyes are windows, moonlight filtering through them,
I can see your pain and gentleness just the same.
Every motion comes together, to form the art of your soul,
Forming a picture in an instant, I comprehend with full depth.
Isn't a shade, easy to describe, almost like,
I couldn't distinguish if they were green, yellow or blue,
Maybe, green and yellow at the same time in a shaded hue,
And trying to take over, creeping around the edges is blue.
As you blink, the beauty's shielded by even prettier lashes,
Reflecting a pain, in that instant stare, my mind crashes.
And finally, that glare, freezing my shaken bones,
Like being nude, in the middle of a hailstorm,
Where every chunk of ice is like dagger cutting through my skin,
As I stare, hypnotize you do, with the swirling warm,
You smile evilly, gold dancing in irises, swallowing the blue,
Soft glimmer of those lucid eyes, betraying the poet and dreamer too.
And your eyes, again, with only that one stare,
Pinning me painfully to my pose, is it fair?
The stunning hue of it displaying a pain it can't hide,
What used to be joy, now washed with despair and grief,
And as I can't control me anymore, I say,
"Hide your eyes darling, for people can see through your heart."
